Meet Rabbi Weiss

Rabbi Yitzy Weiss is originally from Oak Park, Michigan. He studied in Eretz Yisrael for two years in Yeshivat Sha’alvim and has spent the last four years learning in YU. He is currently working on finishing up Semicha in addition to a Master’s degree in Education from Azrieli. During his time in YU he learned under Rav Rosensweig, and gained an appreciation for the role that Lomdus plays in enriching the understanding of Halacha. Yitzy has worked in various camps – including Chicago’s own Yeshivat Hakayitz, giving Gemara shiurim to the CITs. He has also worked at Camp Aspire as a head Madrich and learning Rebbe. Yitzy and his wife, Esther, are moving to West Rogers Park this summer and are very excited to be joining the YU Torah Mitzion Kollel family.
