Meet Rabbi Spirn

Rabbi Moshe Spirn
Kollel Fellow

Rabbi Moshe Spirn is a Kollel Fellow at the YU Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago. Before joining the Kollel, he spent a year studying at the Gruss Israel Kollel in Yerushalayim, while pursuing his semicha from RIETS and a Masters of Jewish Education from Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education & Administration. He taught Halacha at Yeshivas Torat Shraga and gave a weekly vaad to Shana Bet students. He completed his BA from Yeshiva College in Psychology and in his final year of college, Moshe served as Student Organization of Yeshiva (SOY) President, which involved creating religious programming for a diverse group of students. Before attending YU, he studied at Yeshivat Sha’alvim for two years. He spent five summers working at NCSY Kollel in various roles, including as Head Madrich. He and his wife, Ilana, live in West Rogers Park with their three children.
