Meet Rabbi Jacobs

Rabbi Itai Jacobs is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. He made Aliya when he was 18 and joined the full Hesder program in the Yeshiva of Ma’ale Adumim, after which he stayed another year as an Avrech. Itai has completed his Bachelors in Social Work and has worked in the field with different communities in Israel. Itai has been a counselor at various camps through the years and together with his wife worked in Midreshet Torah V’avodah where they opened their home to the girls who came to learn for the year. Itai has served in the IDF on the front lines as a reservist- as a combat engineer. He moved with his wife, Shira, and their two sons Ro’i and Gilad to Skokie as new Shlichim and they hope to bring some Torah and experiences from Eretz Yisrael.
