Rabbi Daniel Kanter

Rabbi Daniel Kanter grew up in Chicago and, after two years at Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh, returned to his hometown to attend Hebrew Theological College. While at HTC, Rabbi Kanter served as a dorm counselor for the Fasman Yeshiva High School, as well as an advisor for Midwest NCSY, Chai Lifeline, and Chicago Yachad. After graduating from HTC with a B.A. in Business and Talmud, and a minor in Bible, Rabbi Kanter received Semicha from RIETS and an M.A. in Modern Jewish History from the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies. Rabbi Kanter also served as Youth Director of the Young Israel of New Rochelle, as a member of the AIPAC Leffell Fellowship, and as a member of the Aish NY Outreach Fellowship. He has been Camp Rabbi for the Bernard Horwich JCC, as well as Director of the Mikor Hachaim Summer Zman. Rabbi Kanter and his wife, Rayli (nee Nussbaum, also a native Chicagoan) and son, Abie, live in West Rogers Park, where they are excited to be part of the Kollel family.
